Wanna Go For a Drive?
As we prepare to enter spring, and make room for fresh blooms and fresh air. I'm reminiscing about a favorite pastime that feels exactly like spring cleaning.
As someone who loves scenic drives, or just taking a long drive with nowhere urgent or particular to be, this journal is inspired by my relationship with hobbies as a fuel for pause and rest. It's a tribute to rest, cars, bikinis, sunlight and most importantly women who have drive; all which are symbols of freedom and luxury seen through the female gaze.
Taking a drive, for me, has always being sentimentally synonymous to a few things. Some of them being — clearing my head space, a knack for adventure, having passion and drive for my life's work and an insatiable hunger to be present.
Long scenic drives in particular; driving through nature, rocks, waters, trees, people and letting the breeze of life remind me that I am alive and deserving to take a ride. More than a drive, a form of prayer.
